Setting up a Virtual Machine Network

Using a Virtual Machine

In today's lesson we learned how to set up a virtual machine network. This allows you to open up a window with all its applications in your existing computer.

Firstly we had to log in using a given username and password. We then clicked on the virtual machine icon. Once this loaded up, we had to use a switch to connect 4 computers together in a peer to peer network. To do this you have to unplug the netwok cables from the wall and insert it into the switch. We later created folders called 'Read' & 'Write' in our workplace settings folder. This enabled us to connect with other members of our group, through the cables and the switch. Now we could write things in each of our read and write folders.

This was the end of our lesson! : )
